26 Dec. open from 12 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Closed: 24, 25, 31 Dec., 1 Jan. and Carnaval;

Admission
2012: adults € 8,25; seniors 60+ € 7,75; kids <4 yr. free;
kids 4-12 yr € 5,75.

During events a surcharge of € 4,25 may apply.
Lift available; free parking.

How to get to Hoensbroek castle
Castle Hoensbroek is located in the Netherlands in the southern part of the province of Limburg in the village of Hoensbroek (municipality of Heerlen). It lies about 25 km from Aachen and from Maastricht.

You can reach the castle by car from Heerlen via: Heerlen-Noord, Hoensbroek, Castle Hoensbroek.

Coming from Eindhoven/Geleen via the A 76 motorway, take exit no. 5 Nuth / Hoensbroek, then follow the signs to Hoensbroek and then to Castle Hoensbroek.
Coming from Achen via the A 76 motorway, take the Heerlen-Noord exit and then follow the signs to Heerlen, Heerlen-Noord, Hoensbroek and Castle Hoensbroek in that order.
Coming from Luik/Maastricht/Valkenburg via the A 79 motorway, follow the A 79 to Heerlen and then the N281 motorway to Heerlen-Noord, take the Heerlen-Noord exit and follow the signs first to Hoensbroek and then to Castle Hoensbroek.
 

Public transport
There's a train station in Hoensbroek about 15 minutes walking distance from the castle; you can also take the bus from the Heerlen bus station (line 42) or from the Maastricht bus station (line 51).

Parking
There is free parking available at a large parking lot near the castle.
